This collection of songs represents over four years of reading and writing and recording. The songs fit together to tell the story of those three bloody days back in the sweltering heat of July, 1863.

*Please Note: No attempt has been made to pass these songs off as "authentic" or "period music". They are a collection of songs I wrote and recorded to help recall the events of the Battle of Gettysburg. While I hope the listener will find them entertaining, there is also an educational purpose as well.

The Songs

Three Days in July - This first song sets the scene for the battle.

On the Road to Gettysburg - Day one of the battle. The Union cavalry stumbles upon the Rebel army, who are only trying to steal some boots for the shoe-less soldiers.

To Gettysburg - Written from the point of view of the towns people, this song describes what must have been a horrible landscape to behold.

Trust in God (And Fear Nothing)- During the battle, two good friends were looking forward to becoming reacquainted. The trouble is, Hancock was for the Union, and his old pal Armistead was a Rebel. Only one of them made it.

Devil's Den - Devil's Den was was the sight of some of the bloodiest action of the second day of the battle.

Little Round Top - The great bayonnet charge led by Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain brought the 20th Maine to greatness.

The Wounded Soldier - I put a tune to a poem found clutched in a dying soldier's hand.

The Gettysburg Maid - Jennie Wade was the only civilian killed during the Battle of Gettysburg.

Pickett's Charge - A valiant but futile Rebel charge that brought and end - and a Union victory - to the battle.

Abraham Lincoln Rode Into Gettysburg - This last song is inspired by one of the greatest speeches of all time.
