The Church Demos

While going through some old stuff that I had laying
around, I came across a CD with a few songs that we
recorded during one of our many practices at the
United Methodist Church in Menomonie. When The
Cutaways were first formed, we used to practice there
almost every Sunday evening. Much of the music that
we perform today was honed and perfected (or not)
during those practice sessions.
Of the six songs heard here, two remain in our regular song rotation, two are brought out occasionally, and two never did see the light of day. These recordings are rather crude. If memory serves, we used my Fostex VF-16 to capture the music, and then the tracks were mixed down directly to computer and burned on to a CD. Tim had his electronic drum set that evening, and most of the instruments were plugged directly into the board. Not the best of recording circumstances.
