There have been many questions as to why The Cutaways aren't playing at RotaryFest 2008, even though they are listed in some of the advertisement. We're afraid it's all been a terrible misunderstanding caused by a mutual failure to communicate. As soon as we finished playing RotaryFest 2007, they immediately asked us to play RotaryFest 2008. Of course, we agreed. We love playing RotaryFest! The problem is, not everyone knew that the date for RotaryFest 2008 was April 19th. Meanwhile, about six months ago, one of us booked the band to play a wedding dance on - you guessed it - April 19th. Everyone in the band agreed that we could do it, unaware that this was the same night as RotaryFest. When we finally got in touch with the RotaryFest people to see about 2008, it was too late, and there you are: double-booked. We certainly couldn't leave a frazzled bride standing at the altar, so to speak, so we (as gracefully as possible) bowed out of RotaryFest.

We sincerely apologize to all of the RotaryFest organizers and attendees for the mix-up! We hope to be reinstated as RotaryFest band in 2009!
